It is mandated with the responsibility of implementing innovative and conventional or unconventional solutions to problems faced by the industry. The general direction of the activities of Innovation Cell shall include but not limited to improving the effectiveness of ongoing IT initiatives, integration of new business oriented technologies, digitization of mine and personnel data, innovative structural engineering/re-engineering, power management, institutional and organizational interfacings and works of similar nature which shall require multi-disciplinary engagement, reverse engineering for common good, superior and more effective methods of dust suppression, phasing out of obsolete technologies and replacement of the same with more reliable, economic and eco-friendly technologies, innovative methods of material handling, material extractions, etc. and any other jobs assigned from time to time by the competent authority.
