Mr B P Sharma, ITS, has assumed additional charge of the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited . Mr Sharma, an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer of 1999 batch, after taking over the additional charge on 29th August 2019 as the CVO visited here on Saturday. Presently the CVO of Bilaspur (CG)-based sister subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and also holding additional charge of Nagpur-based subsidiary Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).
Shri Sharma born on 5th August 1975 at Kota in Rajasthan acquired his degree in Electronics & Telecom Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Kota in the year 1998. Prior to his present assignment, he has served in various capacities with DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization and DoT (Department of Telecom) between 1999 to 2017.During his tenure in above organizations he is widely regarded for his knowledge, skill and valuable contribution towards coordinated abilities in the areas of Telecom Infrastructure, Switching, Telecom-Monitoring and Vigilance wing of DoT which further added value to the functional areas of those organization.
